Help! I need advice about my socially illiterate son!?

My son had a nice set of friends in high school and was forced to socialize because it was high school. Now that he is in University, he just stays home and doesn't go out or have any friends. He is not introverted nor wierd or nerdy. I have another son who is younger and has a normal social life and even has a girlfriend. My son wants a girlfriend but says he doesn't want to do all the work to get friends, it's just easier hanging around home and surfing the net etc. He can't have a job because he is taking online courses and says he's too swamped with taking courses to get a job although he's had them in the past. I'm getting very worried about him. He says things like, "I don't like so and so", "that group is boring", "I don't really need or like friends". But he says he really wants a girlfriend but I don't see how he will meet anyone with being at home all the time and he is very picky about the kind of girl he wants. He is a nice looking guy and has a nice personality when you get to know him but he just won't put himself out there to meet anyone! Any suggestions?
