How is Venezuela doing under Chavez these days?

As well as any country undergoing a communist revolution. Reporters and politicians who speak out against his actions are being imprisoned, or worse. Newspapers and TV stations are being censored and taken over by the government. People are fleeing the country to seek asylum. The "useful idiots" who provided the most support for him will start disappearing, as they always do. The uneducated poor living in abject poverty, who actually believed his crap about a "workers' paradise", will begin to realize that their fate is sealed. Now that he's consolidated his power, with their support, the free food shipments he bribed them with will begin to dry up. Read up on other "peoples' revolutions" throughout the 20th century. China, Russia, Cuba... Venezuela is going down the same, dark path.
