If you use E-cigarettes please help me?

I really want to get E-cigarettes. I think they will help me quilt smoking.. The only problem is that my cousin had bought a E-cigarette I don't know where from when I tried it it was not at all what I thought. Not at all. I am not shore if my cousin had the cartridges in but it was all most like sucking air through a straw.
