Earth's tilt and short days make winter cold. Why isn't the shortest day of the year (Dec 21) the coldest?
Winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere is Dec 21 and the shortest day. But it's not the coldest day. Why is it colder on average in Jan and Feb?
